LAIC announces final push to raise $1 million for new Early Learning Center

Officials aim to break ground this year on the highly anticipated childcare center

MADISON, SD – As the campaign to build the much-anticipated Early Learning Center nears its conclusion, Lake Area Improvement Corporation (LAIC) is making a final push to secure the remaining $1 million needed to bring the project to life.

The LAIC is poised to break ground this year, having secured 80% of the required funds to date through generous grants, gifts, and pledges by local businesses.

This state-of-the-art facility will provide essential childcare and early education services to the Madison community, fostering the development and growth of our youngest residents.

LAIC needs to raise an additional $1 million to bring this transformative project to fruition.

“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we have received so far,” said LAIC President Eric Sinclar. “The Early Learning Center is a critical investment in our community’s future, and we are confident that with continued support, we can reach our fundraising goal and begin construction.”

The center will feature seven classrooms, an outdoor play area, as well as common spaces. The center will be able serve up to 140 children, infant to school aged.

Through a partnership with EmBe, a leader in childcare and early education, the center will provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

LAIC is calling on the community to rally behind this vital project. Contributions of any size are welcomed and will bring them one step closer to making the Early Learning Center a reality. Together, we can create a lasting impact on the lives of our children and the overall health and well-being of our community.
